Number matching with dots

This is a simple way to help your kiddos visually see numbers both in numerical form and symbols. I printed off numbers 0-9 and made dots, like dice,  0-9. Cut them out and put them on cardboard to make them more durable but you could print them on card stock and laminate them too.

So first I set them all out on the table and asked Little Man to tell me each number and to tell me how many dots were on each square.

Then we put the numbers in order from zero to 9 and matched the dots with the correct numbers. This didn’t take him too long but he did do it over and over again for about 30 mins or so.
