Nature walk/scavenger hunt

Today was such a wonderful, beautiful day that we decided to walk the dogs at our local park and do a scavenger hunt. Instead of collecting these things I had Little Man use his camera he got from grandma this summer. He searched and took pictures of all items except the squirrel, I am guessing because the dogs were with us the squirrels were making a wide path! ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Here is what he found:
stick

brown leaf

yellow leaf

bug

Little Man liked this tree and took a picture of it ๐Ÿ™‚

red leaf; I think this picture is amazing!

birds

can you see the birds flying?

Can you see the dragonfly?

Waterlily.

pine cone

acorns

our good doggies, Mae (black) Aris (white)

After we walked and Little Man completed his scavenger hunt the dogs and I sat in the shade while he played with other kids at the park ๐Ÿ™‚
Teachers Pay Teachersย is where I found the scavenger hunt for free. Happy hunting!

  1. Fantastic idea! My daughter would be thrilled to participate in a scavenger hunt and if she got to photograph the items that would probably make her day. I will have to add this to my to do list. Thanks for sharing this post.

  2. I really like your idea to take pictures for your scavenger hunt. We love going on walks. I think we’ll start taking more pictures now.

  3. Scavenger hunts are so fun! My son is finally that age where he can really participate so I can’t wait until it gets warmer to explore outside.
