I challenged the kids to protect an egg enough to be able to drop it without breaking. They did a wonderful job! Oldest child, the boy with the mow-hawk, was successful each time! Little Man was successful at his last attempt. Middle child was successful on one attempt but he soon became uninterested and went off to play. Everyone had a good time.
I offered a variety of materials to use. Pipe cleaners, plastic cups, pom poms, tape, sponges, basically things that I had around the house.
The boys did the majority of the designing themselves but moms did have to help a little.
Then I had each kid stand on the stool and drop the egg.
Did it break?
Yep, time to make a new one!
Final attempt was a success! Happy boy 🙂
