This 4th of July was a very special one for me because I was able to connect with my sister whom I have been estranged from since our mother died. It was so good to see her and hang out with her. She has grown up and seems to have her life together now. We spent the 4th with her and watched her neighbors shoot $1000’s of dollars of fireworks 🙂 We shot our own before the main show.
She lives right in front of the elementary school I attended.
On the 5th of July we went out to a friend’s house and exercised one of our most treasured rights 🙂 When we go to shot our guns Little Man is always given a lesson in gun safety and he gets to see what responsible gun ownership looks like. He has a BB gun and is almost ready to shoot the .22 rifle.
From our friend’s house on the top of the hill we could see fireworks being shot off for 10 miles. We also picked wild blackberries 🙂
On the 6th of July we spent the day being lazy and enjoyed being home!
